Earth Day Crown Craft Activities

Students in Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade absolutely LOVE crown crafts! My firsties are so excited to color and wear their crowns all day. I guarantee they will be talking about their crowns all day. My Earth Day crown craft bundle includes 27 different versions and crown extendors. I usually print a few of each design and let my students choose which crown they would like to color. Crowns are always a hit!

A product cover of an Earth Day bulletin board that reads, "We love our earth!"

Earth Day Bulletin Board

I am a huge sucker for a cute bulletin board! It is rare that teachers at my school change up their bulletin boards, and then there's me who changes her bulletin boards and door decor at least once a month. Now, I am not saying that you need to change your bulletin boards every month, but I promise you that students do notice and appreciate when you do! My firsties love finding their names and which animal they got.

Earth Day Fine Motor Activities Bundle

Younger students need a lot of fine motor practice, something that will help them with pencil grip & finger strength. I recently started creating fine motor bundles utilizing things you already have in the classroom (i.e., snap cubes, pattern blocks, playdough, etc.) and the response has been amazing! Students and teachers love these fine motor mats. The mats include snap cubes, legos, pom poms, and pattern blocks.

A product cover for an Earth Dy Recycling Sort Center. Shown are the categories of "plastic" and "paper" and images of paper, a plastic bag, a paper bag, and a plastic water bottle are shown.

Earth Day Recycling Sort

One of the most common topics discussed on Earth Day is recycling. One of the things we can do throughout the year to help our planet is to recycle. With this recycling sort, students will sort the items into the correct recycling bin - plastic, paper, metal, glass, and organic. The recyclable items come with and without word names.

A product cover for an Earth Day Choices Sort. It shows category headers of "choices that make the earth happy" and "choices that make the earth sad." Various sorting cards are shown, including recycling, littering, pollution, walk, and more. Each card includes a picture.

Earth Day Choices Sort

What choices can we make to help the Earth? Students will sort through various choices and determine if they make the Earth happy or sad. This is a great introduction to Earth Day and the choices we can make every day to help our Earth!
