Make potty training easy with these FREE charts for positive reinforcement! Potty Training can be a long and daunting process for new parents and children need a lot of positive praise and reinforcement. Even when times get tough, don't give up! Your positivity and support will help your child learn to use the toilet on their own! Potty training your toddler isn't much different than potty training a dog (hear me out!). When potty training a dog, you take the dog outside and reward him with a treat when he goes. Similar to dogs, you are teaching your child to sit on the toilet and then rewarding them when they go! In both cases, the dog and your child are learning to go to a certain place to go to the bathroom. The reward given after using the bathroom keeps them motivated - they will keep going to the bathroom in the correct spot in order to get another reward.
Eventually when your child is starting to use the bathroom on their own, you start to move the rewards. you can start at once every successful potty day (1 reward a day) and keep stretching it out (every 2 days, every week, every month, etc.) until your child can use the bathroom on their own!
Reward Your Child
These potty training charts are the easiest way to reward your child! Let your child choose one of seven themes and start rewarding! Set your terms - will your child be rewarded for telling you they have to go potty, for going potty, or for both! Each time your child does this, they will get rewarded! You and your child can decide what reward they will receive. To keep them motivated, I suggest an extra special reward for every bubble that has text it in. Your child will want to keep going to get these rewards!
Potty Training Rewards
Some rewards you can use include:
stickers
toys
outings
art supplies
books
anything else your child enjoys
I suggest giving positive praise every time your child meets the goal you've set. It's also important to remind your child that accidents happen.
I hope these FREE Potty Training Charts help make potty training easier for you and your child!
